How was your week? Along with the rest of the world mine had some ups & downs. I really need to stop reading the news and those awful Facebook stories about dog abuse. Hey people-stop posting those awful graphic stories or I will unfriend you. Few words and food photos are a better way to share your genius.

Dog in a bow tie.

To the rescue of the doom & gloom was some fun end of the week socializing with friends, children and my gorgeous gran-dog.....here is what got me through. Hope you don't mind a food photo op or as some like to post, "food porn".

Steak and fried shoestring potatoes.

Seems like I am all about the beef this week, but that is what looked good in the grocery store; that is the way I roll. However, I had to make something extra special for Sam's (the best son in law ever) 30th birthday.....

Lava cakes.

Love my people, love my dogs and love to cook. Have a great week everybody.

    Hi Lisa,

Certainly enjoy reading your blog. The family and food connection means a lot. Posted a photo of your Mom and Dad on the Valentine Day 4th anniversary of your Mom's passing.
    I miss her so much!

I do not seem to see the recipes for Ravioli, potato strings and lava cake. Any possible way to get them. Thanks, Nanee

Oh my gosh, I think my husband will love me even more if I attempt-(and that's a big attempt!) to make your chocolate peanut butter lava cakes! It all looks so delicious. Always heart warming to read your blog....Blessings on an uplifting week ahead!

Sally's Baking Addiction is my favorite baking blog. You can't go wrong with one of her recipes. Using an ice cream scoop, I put half the batter in the cups, then the peanut butter and then the remaining batter making sure the peanut butter was completely covered. Enjoy! This dessert will make you and the husband smile.
